note: these practicalities relate to my first idea which I have since changed
Cast/Crew availability
Cast availability is going to be one of the things that affects my production the most. For the frame world, it won't be really a problem as I'm thinking of having my brother be the gamer character and film at our house, which means that we have quite a lot of time that we could film. For the game world though, it is going to be more difficult as I plan on having quite a few people, so organizing a time that everyone is free is going to be a little challenging, plus also filming time when I need to re-shoot scenes.
To overcome this I will make an intensive planning schedule so that I only have people scheduled if they are needed to film, and plan a list of shots and full scenes storyboarded so I know have a really good idea of what I want to film and won't waste time. Therefore, scene will be shot efficiently and the number of scenes that need filming will be less.

Time constraints
As I can't film in the holidays, this is going to limit the amount of time I have to film considerably. Also I think that this film is going to require lots of editing, I also need to work that in.
This means that I will have to get straight into filming when I get back in the first week. By having the holidays to plan heaps of detail, this will hopefully make filming more efficient and make getting more scenes done quicker.

Money constraints
I may not be able to finance certain props or costume which would reduce my films quality e.g. props in the game world like weapons and costumes for game characters.
To overcome this, I will look around my house for what I could, ask around other people, hopefully get some army stuff like camouflage tops, pants and packs, and also make some of the props.

Locations: availability/accessibility
The location for the frame world is not going to be problem really because I can film at my house in my brothers room or if that it too small, I can try my room at my dads. However, the game world scenes are all outside and I need a sort of forrest/jungle setting. I was thinking of using that bush part down the back of the bottom field and the Gully as the setting which will hopefully show resemblance to the game, there probably won't be many people around and it is an easy location to get too, especially if I wanted to film after school or something quickly at lunchtime.

Weather
For the frame world, weather won't really be a problem, but the game world is completely outside filming, so if it is raining not only is it going to be dangerous to film, but would also damage the equipment. Also if it was windy, it would possibly ruin the sound.
This is pretty hard issue to overcome so I will just have to keep constantly updated on the weather forecast and plan accordingly. With the sound, hopefully I could work something out in post production if it really came down the sound being that terrible.
